Today we’re jumping in and laying some more ground work that will help sustain us when the newness of this journey might wear off. If you’ll take the time to DO THE WORK today, it will help guide you through whatever else is to come.
Today I want you to focus for a little while on WHAT you have been called to. No, let’s take it a step further, and I want you to dig into the WHY you have been called to. That’s not a grammatical mistake- I mean it just the way it sounds. What’s the WHY you have been called towards? See your WHY will propel you forward regardless of the WHAT.
This next activity will take you a bit of time, so if you need to spend a few days completing it, that is fine. It will guide you through how to determine your WHY plus how to set goals that will move you forward. It’s in depth and challenging, and will help you gain some serious forward progress if you’ll spend time completing it.

Today I’ve got you a short yet challenging Metabolic Workout called SMALL BEGINNINGS. This one was filmed in January as the Tribe ladies were focusing on Zechariah 4:10 which says:
10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin… (NLT)
I can’t help but think that for some of us, here we sit in May and we’re still struggling with dismissing small beginnings. We set out with good intentions in January, but its been one thing after another and we’re still sitting at the starting gate.
I’m praying you’ll grab some hand weights and press PLAY on this one. It’s a 16-minute workout but with the warm-up, intro, and cool-down (the most important part!), it’s a total of 23. I know- you’re busy. I get it. But, I want you to try. Go text a friend and tell her to hold you accountable and then PUSH PLAY! I’m challenging you to up your bedtime 15-30 minutes. This will benefit your health, yes, but it will also benefit you and everyone you live with tomorrow when you’re more well-rested and able to tackle the tasks of your day.
I know the struggle is real- you’ve got busy days, maybe little people who need you constantly, Netflix shows that seem so tempting at the end of a long day, or even the pull of your social media newsfeed as a way to decompress. Tonight, SHUT IT DOWN and get yourself to bed.
