Skillet Cabbage

March 20, 2014 By Kara Leave a Comment

Super easy recipe that you can make quickly.

Ingredients needed:
4 carrots, chopped
1/2 c. chicken broth
2 TB Butter
1 tsp. salt
6 c. chopped cabbage
1 onion, chopped
1 TB garlic (I use the kind from the jar for convenience sake)

Directions:
In large skillet, saute butter and onion.

Add Carrots and cook 2-3 minutes.

Stir in the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes until tender.

Check the seasonings and adjust as necessary. We always add black pepper, and sometimes a bit of salt. A great addition for this dish might be to use a slice or two of bacon and saute it when you do the onions.

Hope you enjoy this dish as much as we do!
